Facebook, one of the most popular social networking service founded by Mark Zukerberg is an online social media to connect with friends and family. I, being a basic facebook user have an account in facebook since 2009 and I am using it since then. Its a good place to see your friends pictures, their stories and many of them post the places that they visit which is interresting to look at. 

Ways To Fix Facebook Not Working

I was an Android user, gradually i switched to IPhone and started experiencing problem with the Facebook application. I found it wasnt working with IPhone or crashes or gives error frequenctly. The experience started getting worse. So I started finding out reasons why this is happening. 

I would like to share the ways I got this resolved and having an happy experience since then. 

These are the following ways by which facebook started working again: 

• Facebook app on the IPhone stopped working. I first tried to restart the phone to check if it is working. It worked for some time and then started with the same problem.
• This time, instead of the restarting the IPhone, I restarted the app. I am an IT professional, so I know that restarting the app will clear all the cached files and dump the unwanted files associated with the app which stops the app from working.

If this basic step fails then follow as below when you receive these errors again such as  :

• The Facebook app loading issue on iPhone/taking a long time.
• Error while you open Facebook app on iPhone.
• Facebook app closes by itself even if you are using it.
• Facebook app issues due to iOS.

In case of these error, check the internet connection, is it working properly? Is it on wifi or mobile data? check the signals. If connection is fine, then try to restart the facebook app and see if it starts working. 

Steps To Fix Facebook App Not Working

What if it is due to a failure of IOS update. So we need to also check if any IOS update failed or is pending to be updated. Now how can we update the IOS software? 

• Tap Settings > General > Software Update ( one way to update IOS )
• connect IOS device to ITunes and look for Updates in Summary Screen. 

What if it is due to some file failure in the app itself. What to do ? Uninstall the Facebook and reinstall again. Once uninstalled, resinstall it from app store..

Last option is to do a factory reset (it is resetting everythig on your phone ). Ensure a backup is in place. 

• Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings

Instead of using the app, if you are using the browser for facebook access, try the following option

• Clear cache and cookies - check if it works 
• If not try with a different browser to confirm if it is a problem with the browser or not
• If that does not work, try with a different device all together and see if it works

If none of it works, then contact Facebook support for further assistance.
